Lima, October 29, 2018. Readers of the luxury travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler selected Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel as one of the five best hotels in South America in the prestigious publication’s Reader´s Choice Awards 2018.

In this year’s ranking, based on over 429,000 surveys, Aranwa achieved a score of 98.95 points, situating it in fifth place out of a total of 30 destinations. Respondents expressed a particular preference for comfort, with an emphasis on factors such as peace and quiet, hotel size, and location.

According to Condé Nast Traveler, tradition wins out at this sixteenth-century colonial-style mansion, just two blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The colonial sculpture and artwork, along with period antiques, gilded headboards, and crystal chandeliers will make guests feel as if they were on a historical movie set.

“Modern amenities include heated floors in the bathrooms and an oxygen system to prevent altitude sickness. From the coca tea you sip on arrival to the traditional Andean fare at Mishti Mestizo Restaurant and the pisco sour nightcapper at Khasikay Bar, you’ll feel thoroughly seduced by the flavors of this unique Incan city,” the publication proclaims.

It should be noted that Condé Nast Traveler analyzes tourist behaviors and locations to achieve a full snapshot of where and how its readers travel. This year, the properties that impressed respondents most were smaller and less flashy than years past, suggesting that the right kind of less is more.
